This painting has a sort of comic book superhero quality to it! I am wondering how dark the chapel is that it was commissioned for. The stunning thing, though, is how the armed guards are rather literally blown away by the power of the resurrected Christ, the conquering of death and tyranny and evil. What a mighty God we serve!
